With up to three spring rate options available for most applications, you have the flexibility to select the ideal spring rate tailored to your vehicle's specific setup. Each spring is precision mandrel and die-formed, oil quenched, hardened, and tempered to guarantee extended service life. The military wrap design is standard across all models, providing additional strength and reliability.

These leaf springs are accurately heat-treated and constructed from high-grade spring steel, featuring anti-friction pads in most applications to enhance performance. Pre-stressing the springs helps maintain ride height, while diamond cut ends ensure a precise fit. Load rate testing is conducted to validate performance under various conditions.

For vehicles equipped with additional accessories, there is no need for concern. The available spring rates are designed to accommodate constant loads, which refer to weight that remains on the vehicle at all times. Fixed accessories such as canopies, steel trays, draw systems, fridges, toolboxes, rear bars, or spare wheel carriers are classified as constant loads.

Selecting the appropriate spring rate is crucial for achieving optimal results in load carrying capacity, ride quality, and overall ride height. It is advisable to pair raised springs with long travel shock absorbers to enhance performance further.

EXTREME SHOCK FOR EXTREME CONDITIONS

• Tough Dogs adjustable shocks are built tough for the Aussie outback.
• As well as the Foam Cell insert to combat shock fade, the 45mm adjustable also incorporate an ABS plastic dust shield as well as an external dust wiper seal to protect the shocks internals from grit which can damage the oil seals around the chrome rod.
• When fully extended, the shock is at its most vulnerable to damage from side load.
• The internal bump stop and piston rod guide ensure the shock is supported at the extremes of its travel.
• Our big bore shocks also have a DU bushing fitted internally to protect the seals from damage caused by side load at full extension.
