and have answered the call with our LandCruiser handbrake upgrade kit! The factory 70/80 series handbrake is renowned for not holding well. Superior Engineering has changed the cam angle to pull more cable, this allows the operator to pull efficiently on the handle to produce the extra force needed at the handbrake shoes to hold the vehicle safely. So if you find yourself spending hours on your 70 or 80-series LandCruiser handbrake adjustment only to be met with unsatisfactory results, this kit is for you. Our LandCruiser handbrake upgrade kit will not fix worn or damaged brake parts, the installer must check the overall condition of all associated brake parts whilst installing the brake cam

Easy-to-fit braided brake hoses with a protective sleeve are included with each designed and manufactured in compliance with SAE J1401 specifications.

The Bendix Ultimate 4WD 76/78/79 series brake booster upgrade uses dual-diaphragm technology and is ADR compliant. The upgrade has been designed to be a direct "bolt-in" replacement for original equipment (OE), single-diaphragm brake boosters.

4WD vehicles fitted with added mass and larger-diameter tyres require higher brake pedal pressure for effective braking. Brake pedal pressure required and braking effectiveness (including improved stopping distances) can be achieved by fitting a dual-diaphragm booster to your Landcruiser.

How Does a Dual Diaphragm Booster Work?
The level of assistance from your LandCruiser brake booster can be increased (effort required to press the pedal reduced), by either:

• Increasing the area of the rubber diaphragm
• Increasing the pressure differential (vacuum pressure)
